Nicole Kidman (1967) is an Australian actress, though she was born in Honolulu and lived in Hawaii until she was four years old. Her father, a clinical psychologist, biochemist and author, was a fellow at the National Institute of Mental Health in the US which is why the family was in Hawaii during Nicole Kidman's birth.

In Australia, Kidman got her start in the film industry in 1983 when she appeared in a music video. After that, she really started to take off with supporting roles in a TV series and four films. By the end of the 1980s, Nicole Kidman had her breakthrough and gained the attention of many critics for her strong acting abilities.

By the 90s, Kidman was acting in mostly Hollywood films in the US. Thanks to her birth in Hawaii, the actress already had dual citizenship.
